Our Society

Origami Deutschland is a charitable society and was founded in January 1989 in Freising near Munich by Paulo Mulatinho and seven other origami enthusiasts. Our society has approximately 760 members who come from Germany as well as from many other countries. We welcome any paper folding enthusiast, no matter if they are beginner, advanced folder or experienced origami artist, junior or senior.

A highlight in the society life are the annual conventions with international participation, for which a model collection with diagrams from national and international designers will be published.
Contacts and exchange between members may also take place at one of the regional meetings in various parts of Germany.
Members annualy receive up to three issues of the magazine der Falter in German via mail and may borrow books and magazines from the lending library.

The general assembly takes place annually in accordance with the statutes of the society.
